The SCH Service Innovation Research Lab is a planned biomedical and neuroscience research facility designed to expand Michigan’s scientific capacity and contribute to the region’s growing research ecosystem. Informed by the leadership and example of the Van Andel Institute, the Lab will support early‑stage experimental discovery, translational investigation, and interdisciplinary scientific work. Developed through The Sharma Foundation’s Michigan Expansion Initiative and housed within SCH, the Lab represents a major step toward building new scientific infrastructure in West Michigan and supporting the next generation of researchers and innovators.
SCH’s International Acquisition Pipeline is an early‑stage strategic initiative focused on building the internal governance, advisory structure, and analytical capacity required for future cross‑border acquisitions. Guided by SCH’s developing Acquisition Fund framework and supported by a Board of Trustees advising the CEO on international readiness, this project reflects SCH’s long‑term ambition to expand beyond Michigan while maintaining disciplined oversight and structured decision‑making. The accompanying report outlines the foundational work shaping SCH’s approach to evaluating global service‑sector opportunities.
